Hey there! I hope you're having a great time dancing. I know I'm having a lot of fun dancing with you. This week after you do the warm-up, we will be making up our own dances. We will be CHOREOGRAPHING a dance. You will be a CHOREOGRAPHER! So fancy. =) Please look at the directions carefully, I have an example of a high level, medium level, and low level dance that I choreographed. I also have a video of my choreography example. Then I want you to try it out on your own. Don't forget to have fun, too! Warm-Up RoutineHigh Level, Medium Level, Low Level Dance Choreography Directions: First, you’ll need to think and answer this question: What are the 3 levels in dance? (Hint: High Level, Medium Level, Low Level) Then, choose 3 moves to do on each of the levels. You will have 3 high level moves (moves that are as tall and high to the ceiling as you can), 3 medium level moves (moves that bend at your waist or knees or both!), and 3 low level moves (moves that are close to the floor or ground). Finally, try to do the dance without music and then when you’re ready perform (to show your dance) it with some different songs, fast/slow, different music styles, etc. My High Level, Medium Level, Low Level dance choreography: High level - Slide to the Right, Left, Right, Left Low level - Spin on the floor Low level - sideways floor walk and turn to the Right and Left Medium level - roll arms and touch step 4 times High level - Pony jumps to the Right, Left, Right, Left Medium level - twist for one count of 8 Now it’s your turn to try. Please do a dance with 6-9 moves. If you want even more of a challenge, do even more. Don’t forget to have some fun, too. Hi dancers. This week after you do the warm-up, you will be learning the moves to the Zumba kids routine "Minions Electric Dance" and then dancing the routine with the music. It is pretty simple and repetitive but a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it.
